Important Updates and Beach Opening!

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a fantastic day today. We have a few important things to cover, so please read through this email carefully to ensure you're fully informed.
 
First and foremost, let's start with a reminder about treating our staff with respect. Please refrain from being rude, hurtful, or mean towards any of our team members. This includes making negative comments about their art or creations. We have a zero-tolerance policy for backhanded remarks or snide comments. If you have any dislikes, please keep them to yourself or kindly propose ideas for what you'd like to see instead. We strive to foster a positive environment, and putting down art or concepts is simply rude and unnecessary.
 
Now, onto the exciting updates! We are delighted to announce that all major bugs have been fixed. However, if you happen to come across anything unusual, please let us know immediately by sending in a bug report. Your feedback is invaluable in ensuring a smooth user experience.
 
In other news, I'm thrilled to inform you that the beach is now open to the public! The beach is a beloved summer destination in Raise City, and thanks to the generous support of the Lottery Den, all drinks and relaxation amenities are covered. Each visit to the beach requires lottery tokens, but it's a small price to pay for a delightful and rejuvenating vacation.
 
Who knows, while you're at the beach, you might even befriend an adorable little slotter! Rumor has it that they emit the most adorable sounds imaginable.
 
Speaking of vacations, please note that our site owner will be away until Tuesday. Rest assured, everything will continue to run smoothly, but there may be slight delays in certain areas of the site, such as ticket responses, MYO approvals, and quests. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
 
Lastly, we would like to wish you all a safe and joyful weekend ahead! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Exciting Updates, Fixes, and New Additions

Hey everyone!
 
Welcome to our latest news update. We've got a bunch of things to cover, so let's jump right into it.
 
Issues fixed:
  •  Reports giving 500 errors.
  •  Icons not being able to be uploaded on mobile.
  •  Forum posts not being able to be edited.
  •  FTO's not being able to see /foraging and not being able to forage.
  •  Plus a host of other issues/bugs.
Known issues:
  •  Footer is still wrong on profiles.
 
Now, onto the exciting changes. I'm going to keep this pretty simple and sweet, but there's some ground to cover, so buckle up.
 
 
Both Kit's Cafe and SC.HQ have some items now. Though SC.HQ only has a few items, but definitely check both shops out if you have time.
 
 
Thanks to the amazing Smolrobin, we have a new pet species! Please check out the Fleeceara, including a crafted one! These have been added to foraging!
 
 
Lost & Found is now public! Please enjoy the donated items and feel free to donate items to it. You can find it under Browse -> Shops -> Lost & Found.
 

And another huge thank you to Smolrobin again who designs Mahoubae's emotes! You too can have some amazingly cute emotes as they are bases you can grab right now. You can also commission robin to do your Mahoubae on them instead if your not an artist ~. Please go check them out Robin just did an amazing job on them. 
 
 
 
Other changes:
  • Some site art has changed. (Please Ctrl + Refresh to see changes if you don't already!)
  • Retrieval assignments! Are now live earn some soul tokens by going to activity -> Retrieval assignments ~ Turn in items every 24 hours.
 
Upcoming Changes:
These are things you'll see sooner rather than later, so please keep an eye out.
  • New items added.
  • New forage location. / Changing on what items you can find while foraging.
  • This month's raffle.
  • A new... foxy pet.
  • As well as some changing up on the Nav bar yet again.

Updates and News - End of May Update!

Hello everyone,
Good evening and welcome to our final May update! We've got plenty of exciting things to cover, so hold on tight!

Site Changes:

We've made some minor tweaks to the site:

  •     Most icons are now rounded squares instead of circles.
  •     Minor UI adjustments have been made.
  •     We've introduced a featured character area that will change monthly.
  •     Added seasons and weather to enhance your experience.
  •     Made minor edits to the artwork across the site.
  •     Navigation and footer have undergone some rearrangements, including the ability to submit art directly from the dropdown.

 

 Bug Fixes:

We've addressed a few bugs:

  •    Fixed the issue causing a 500 error when making new claims.
  •    Resolved the bug preventing the sorting of personal characters.

Known Bugs:

There are a couple of known issues we're working on:

  •    The footer on profiles is out of place and needs adjustment.
  •     "/team" leads to a 500 error.
  •      Recipe's not being able to be redeemed, please submit a claim and we'll manually add your recipe until then.

Now, let's dive into the more substantial changes:

 

Shops:

SC.HQ, Lottery Den, and Kit's Cafe are now fully equipped with hosts and are ready for items. In the next update, our focus will be on adding items for you to buy and enjoy.

User Shops:

We're excited to announce that users can now create their own shop to sell goods. Get ready to showcase your products!

Foraging:

Get ready to explore and discover! You can now forage for goodies. While there aren't many options available just yet, we hope you enjoy what's already there. Each day, you'll have 5 Stamina to use, and you'll need to select a character to embark on these adventures.

*Note: In the future, FTO will have the opportunity to do this exclusively with NPCs!

Crafting:

Introducing crafting! We've added a basic crafting system to the game, allowing you to create a few things. As time goes on, we plan to expand this feature and offer even more exciting crafting possibilities.


Pets:

We're thrilled to announce that some adorable pets have been added to the game. There's a wide variety to choose from, and you can view them all here! We'll be continuously adding more options and exploring ways to provide unique pets or even design custom ones for the entire site. Stay tuned for more details, but for now, we hope you enjoy the pets we've released!


Emotes: 
Robin has added a few more new emotes as well as edited them to be a lot more crisp please go check them out here!

Monthly Raffle Results: May!
Congrats to K-A-Karma who won the monthly raffle design this month!
Starting June 1st you’ll see a new design as well as a new ticket you can grab for free in the Lottery Den so make sure to check!

Second Chance.co Updates: What's New in Our World!

Dear Beta Team,

I hope this email finds you all in good spirits. I wanted to take a moment to provide you with some exciting updates and share our vision for the future of our magical company.


Firstly, we are pleased to announce that the Lottery Den is now officially open! Here are some things you can do there,

  • Buy Raffle tickets.
  • Daily free [LC]. 
  • Get any voucher tickets for downtime. ( For now, this will be moved at a later date. )
  • And much more to come.

To follow our amazing manager, Sunflowerfaun, has created some incredibly cute emotes.  Please take a moment to check them out by clicking here .  More to follow but we wanted to show them off. 

 


We've also posted our first free monthly raffle! You can view it here, as the sales post contains information on how to enter.


We also want to apologize for the random downtime (timed out errors). We have hopefully fixed it with Dreamhost and have provided downtime ticket vouchers in the Lottery Den until May 20th. ( If you miss this let us know and we'll award your account accordingly. )
